Canary Wharf has some of the highest concentration of large buildings in the UK. Due to their high value, perceived exposure to terrorist attacks and the nature of the businesses trading from them, Insurers capacity to underwrite these risks is very limited.

We recently placed a large estate comprising hotel, apartments and restaurants with one specific Insurer, no mean feat in itself. However,it subsequently transpired that the reinstatement value of the buildings and been substantially under estimated. As a result to increase the Buildings Declared Value by £126M or 56%.
